Ecovillage Alto-Quiriri aims to build a community oriented on a sustainable way of life in Brazil's Atlantic Forest. Beyond, EAQ aims to promote sustainable, green development in the region Campos do Quiriri, Municipality of Campo Alegre - Santa Catarina, South-Brazil.
The members of Ecovillage Alto Quiriri intend to support social sustainability oriented on the following principles:
- equity, inclusiveness, plurality and tolerance
- commitment, engagement, and responsibility
- consent and decentralization of power
By representing a culture of respect for each other and the nature Ecovillage Alto Quiriri promotes
- consideration of biodiversity and contribution to its conservation and regeneration
- management and protection of natural resources and maintenance of the equilibrium of the biosphere
